Log collection in a secure, classified environment
If there are issues with VirtuCache, and for some reason, you are not able to provide us with vmkernel, vnxd and vmkwarning logs from the ESXi host, then please at a minimum run the below grep commands and send us these log lines.
1) Download (scp) all the vmkernel.* , vmkwarning.* gz and vnxd.* files from /scratch/log (or the directory which is linked to /var/log/vmkernel.log) to a temporary folder
2) Issue following command and send us the output:
grep -i vnx vmk*
3) Issue following command and send us the output:
grep -i -A 10 “thread stuck” vnx*
4) Issue following command and send us the output:
grep -i “event:” vnx*
