GUI not showing any objects or objects in GUI disappearing intermittently

If the GUI is not showing any objects, or the objects disappear intermittently or caching policy (and other status changes) are slow to apply, then it could be a networking issue between the VirtuCache appliance and vCenter & ESXi hosts:

– log in to the VirtuCache appliance (userid/password is virtucache/virtucache)

– ping vCenter and ESXi hosts by IP address. If using the vCenter IP address to login to VirtuCache GUI AND if the inventory names in vCenter use host IP addresses (and not host DNS names), then IP connectivity is all that we need between VirtuCache manager VM and vCenter & Hosts.

– If using vCenter DNS name to login to VirtuCache GUI AND if the inventory names in vCenter use host DNS names, then we need DNS and IP connectivity between VirtuCache manager VM and vCenter & Hosts. If this connectivity doesn’t work then you’d need to fix the ip/dns/wins config.

– These ports need to be open on vCenter and ESXi.
vcenter : 80/tcp and 443/tcp
ESXi host: 7789/tcp
