Virtunet announces lower cost VirtuCache Essentials edition

Virtunet Systems has just announced a new lower cost VirtuCache Essentials edition.
The Essentials edition differs from the Standard edition in the below three ways.

It can only cache reads (Write-Through caching). Caching writes (Write-Back caching) is not supported. For caching writes, you will need the VirtuCache Standard edition.

The Essentials edition can only be installed on top of VMware’s vSphere Essentials or Essentials Plus licenses. For any other ESXi editions, you will need the VirtuCache Standard edition.

At US$ 1500 per host, the Essentials edition is 50% discounted from the Standard edition.
